Our mission is to make a difference in Watauga County by being a catalyst that helps people work together to plan for a sustainable future in which we wisely use our human and natural resources, acknowledge the unique heritage and contributions of all residents, recognize the need for economic development, listen to the concerns and fears of others, promote mutual trust among county residents, uphold the democratic process, and seek widespread involvement and support for initiatives that will sustain the people, economy and natural resource base of Watauga County.
